ESP-WATCH·BADUSB WebFlasher
No device
Step 01 of 04
Read this first.
This writes the ESP-Watch-BadUSB firmware onto the watch. It replaces the firmware currently on it — the stock Xiaozhi demo will be gone until you reflash it.
Flashing overwrites the app partition. SD-card files are not touched, but the firmware is. Only run this on your own hardware.
Step 02 of 04
Download mode.
The ESP32-S3 flashes over its own USB. If the watch does not drop into download mode on its own when the flasher connects, hold BOOT (side button) while plugging the USB-C cable in, then let go.
Chrome or Edge only — Firefox and Safari have no WebSerial.
Step 03 of 04
Connect.
Pick the device in the browser prompt. It appears under vendor 303A (Espressif) as a USB serial port.
Step 04 of 04
Flash.
Erase, then write each image at its offset, then reboot. Do not unplug the watch until the log says it is done.

Flashed.
The device has been reset and is running the new firmware. You can unplug it now.
Watch won't turn on? — power-on recovery
- Hold the power button (side, near USB-C) for at least 10 seconds to force the AXP2101 off.
- Plug USB-C back in. The watch should power on automatically.
- If nothing happens, unplug USB-C, press the power button once, then hold it 2 s.
- Still dark? Press both side buttons (BOOT and POWER) in short random combinations for a few seconds — this walks the PMU through its state machine until it latches on.
- Repeat step 1 whenever the watch acts locked — the shutdown may not have completed cleanly.
